LUXEMBOURG, France—Louis Vuitton is preparing to launch a line of stylish shoes in France that it says is designed specifically for women.
The brand is expected to launch its newest shoe, a women’s “luxe” in 2019, with a range of sizes from 7.5 to 12 inches.
The new shoe will be made in France and will feature a unique heel, the shape of which will be determined by the wearer’s body type, the brand said in a statement Tuesday.
A woman with a 6-foot-6 frame, for instance, would have a shoe with a narrower heel than a 6.5-foot woman.
The shoes will be available in three color schemes: “vintage white” with gold accents; “high-gloss white” or “black-silver” with an “extra-luxurious” finish; and “maroon” with metallic gold accents.
Louis Vuison is known for its high-quality leather, with leather that is treated with an anti-microbial treatment.
The shoe is expected have an expected retail price of $1,500.
“Our vision for the new Luxe shoes is to create a collection with a new dimension and an innovative and stylish quality,” Louis Vuonters spokesperson Jérôme Desjardins said in the statement.
